B-BBEE

Infomation Session

In 2018, the Department of Employment and Labour released it’s 20 year review of the implementation of Employment Equity. The review emphasised the continued under-representation of women in key decision-making roles and an overall under-representation of designated groups in managerial positions.

As one of the remedial actions, the department has proposed substantial amendments to the Employment Equity Act of 1998.  The bill proposes and introduces significant changes, most notably, numeric targets at all organisational levels. Should the bill be passed by the National Assembly, it will have implications for all organisations including APPETD members and private training providers.

Please join us for a discussion on the EE Act, the amendments and what their implications could be for training providers.
